Casting, Solidkote or Surfacecast: choosing a resin floor
A resin floor is not one product. Marble House works with three systems and they are not interchangeable, so the decision is worth making deliberately rather than from a sample board. Casting Epoxy is a deep pour resin. It is the one used for furniture, art and custom interior pieces, where the depth of the pour is the point and the resin is the material rather than the coating. Solidkote UVC is a UV stable polyurethane coating. UV stability is the whole reason it exists: it is the system that holds its colour and its shine outdoors, which is why it is specified for entertainment areas and patios where an ordinary epoxy would yellow. Surfacecast Epoxy is for countertops, tables and accent installations. It is the one that gives the marble like depth people usually have in mind when they ask for a resin surface. The practical version of this: tell us where the floor is, what stands on it and whether the sun reaches it. That answers the question faster than a catalogue does.
